#Low ai arma 3 servers update
My expertise is in no way with computer coding, but It is logical to assume that the update 1.48, for whatever reason, is not fully compliant to all server types and it is causing major graphic issues leaving the game unplayable for many. Only change before problems arise = update to 1.48 Immediately following 1.48, major problems present. extDB w/o async (thus when it pileup, freeze or stalls it takes down whole engine with it) Īnother issue is related to RPG servers using obsolete versions of callExtensionsĮ.g. Some scripting mistakes manifest more than others. So it's more likely related to bad scripting againĪs the engine evolves (tweaks, new features, changes) Originally posted by Dwarden:for example Samatra's Wasteland don't have such issue The reason I made my mission this way is because of my laughably low end system specs and I still get good, playable FPS. The problem is not ARMA 3, it is the way that missions are designed that determines your frame rate. The RAM and CPU usage stays nice and stable. The mission manages its self and due to the carefully thought out timing of the spawning and deleting of units. Try this mission and leave it running (for a few days) and notice that the RAM reaches a certain point then stops rising. It will cleanup any object that has been dropped on the floor, and also damaged vehicles that are immobilised but not fully destroyed.ĪRMA 3 missions need to be built as if you were creating an ecosystem where things are created and things die but the dead things need cleaning up to keep it nice, smooth and persistent. I recomend this cleanup script (made by aeroson)

To prevent this from happening in ARMA simply adding a cleanup script that deletes any objects that have been on the ground after 10 minutes (or whatever you decide) your mission will run persistently smooth, indeffinitely :-)ĪRMA 3 maps are absolutely ENORMOUS and when they fill up with objects due to things spawning but not being cleaned up (like in wasteland) there is no PC on earth that is immune to this, hence why servers need a restart every now and then. This would happen if it was a Photoshop file, 3DS Max file ETC. Now start to add more and more units until you will see the ingame performance drop as the map starts to clutter with 100's of objects. Notice that it is running silky smooth (-: see nothng wrong with ARMA 3 :-) Start the editor with a clean map, place a playably unit then preview the mission. So adding information to a file will increase the load on the system that is reading it. If the mission doesn't have a good cleanup script then it will just pile up with objects until everyones PC and the server will simply 5H1T its pants lol This is normal in computing of any kind. The more units and objects there are on the map, the slower your performance will be, there is no avoiding this unfortunately, it is simply how digital data works. ARMA 3 frame rates usually depend on how the mission has been designed.
